Hainanese-Roots

Hainanese-Roots explores the theme of nostalgia where it is a reflection of my own cultural identity. The Hainanese chicken rice is a symbolic representation of my Hainanese tradition through yearly gatherings. It reminds me of the growing up years where joy and laughter are met across the tables. As such, it allows me to reminisce the past where I longed for such good times. It is also a timely reminder to seek closer connections with family & loved ones.
